In Praise of the Savory Breakfast Pastry

While I love a chocolate croissant as much as the next person, I'd like to put in a good word for the often-overlooked savory pastry. It provides a much-needed morning pick-me-up without the attendant sugar crash. Why do so few coffee shops stock them?

It's hard to even get a plain croissant here. Everyone likes lots of gooey stuff.

I prefer a good old plain donut, croissant, or shortcake scone w/strawberry jam. Yum yum!

Pesto croissant is super good!
