Idiocy
I just saw a kid, maybe eight or nine years old, skating through a busy parking lot on her stupid wheelie shoes.
Adam will never have wheelie shoes.

I agree. My daughter's school finally banned them from school. It was a big "duh" moment for me. The thing is, I don't know of any parents who think they are a good idea, so who's letting their kids wear them?

Children should never ever be allowed to have these shoes. EVER.
so is it wrong that I want a pair for myself? Just for getting around the city, or livening up boring days at work?
these should be one of those stupid pleasures that only adults can have, and which children get all whiney about.
